Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 18 years to 30 years for Unit 1 and 18 years to 33 years for remaining Units. Cutoff date for determining age limit is 01-01-2014. The upper age relaxation is 05 years for SC/ ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PH candidates.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess Matriculation or equivalent with 50% marks.

Scouts & Guides Qualification: Candidates must possess President’s Scout/ Guide/ Ranger/ Rover or Himalayan Wood Badge Holder or a Pre HWB trained Scout Leader/ Advanced Trained Guide/ Leader/ Captain, have been an active member of a Scouts & Guides Organization, should have attend at least one event at National Level and two or more events at State Level or have a good record of participation in Scouts/ Guides activities at Unit/ District Level.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on performance in Written Test, Assessment of talent in the relevant field, Personality Test/ Interview.

Examination Fee: Candidates need to Pay Rs.100/- in the form of crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) drawn in favour of & payable to respective divisions (mentioned in notification). No Fee for all Women SC/ ST/ Minorities/ EBC candidates.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates may send their applications in prescribed format along with photograph affixed on application, additional two passport size photographs and attested copies of necessary enclosures in support of scouts & guides qualification, educational qualification, age, caste certificate, NOC from current employer and crossed IPO, send in a cover superscribed with “Application against Scouts & Guides Quota 2014-15 for Category No _______” through ordinary post or drop in box kept at respective offices (mentioned in notification) on or before 25-08-2014 by 17.30 hrs and 09-09-2014 by 17.30 hrs for Remote Areas (Andaman & Nicobar, Lakshadweep Islands).
